teachers : teacher training
Teachers need to be trained and certified by NFTE in order to run the NFTE programme. Certified Entrepreneurship Teachers (CETs) will have been trained on a one or two day course, dependent on experience:
- 1 day training is for business teachers
- 2 day training is for those without business studies experience, and also includes developing a business plan project
This training gives teachers an understanding of the following:
- NFTE teacher and student curriculum resources
- entrepreneurial and motivational learning styles
- techniques for teaching NFTE
- practical and creative classroom activities
- development of business plans
- accreditation options
- programme support package
- NFTE events initiatives

- The 2 day training programme is £425.00
- The 1 day training programme is £300.00

Enterprise Network / NFTE Training
The Enterprise Network is a strategy from the DCSF designed to support enterprise education across the 5-19 phases in England and is composed of a consortium of nine organisations led by the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust.
NFTE have been asked to run a number of two-day regional programmes named 'An introduction to Entrepreneurship and Small Business Start-up' designed to provide training in the use of our curriculum for secondary school students. It is open to teachers from all subject areas who want to build on a basic level of business understanding, terminology and planning. This programme is offered at no cost to the delegates and if you would like to book a place for teachers in your school you should contact your local regional enterprise co-ordinator in the first instance.
