teachers : our programme
The NFTE programme is a step-by-step practical course in how to set up and run a small enterprise project. NFTE students experience a real-life undertaking of business, generating business ideas, undertaking market research and developing a business and financial plan.
NFTE helps students identify and develop their entrepreneurial skills. They are encouraged to think creatively, identify and seize opportunities, take calculated risks, manage projects independently, and take responsibility for their success. Emphasis is placed on building confidence, self esteem, and motivation.
flexible enterprise model
The programme is normally run during one or two academic years. It can also be flexibly incorporated into courses like business studies or citizenship or run as an after school option. NFTE can be undertaken by any level of student but has proven particularly successful with disaffected or low ability students.
BTEC accreditation
The course is accredited with a BTEC level 2 award in 'Preparing for Enterprise' allocated 46 NQF performance points, equivalent to a GCSE grade B.
NFTE provides certified teacher training, award winning resources and inspirational events and initiatives. The programme is delivered by trained and certified NFTE teachers and is supported by the NFTE team. |
